Learn to knit and mend!
Without further ado, I’m SO excited to announce our first two Next Season workshops!! If you’re based in NYC and either want to learn to knit with scrap yarn OR if you have some old sweaters you’ve been meaning to repair, sign up and come hang out! All skill levels welcome :)
2/23 - Sip & Knit, in partnership with Cardinal Gift Shop
The first hour will include a beginner-friendly lesson covering knitting basics like casting on and garter stitch, and how to make a simple and colorful scarf out of scrap yarn. More experienced knitters can drop in later with their own projects or start something new using our available reclaimed yarn.
3/23 - Darning Workshop, in partnership with Old Flame Mending
Learn to darn with Old Flame and Next Season! If you have holes in your clothes, we can help you learn how to fix them yourself! We highly recommend starting with a sweater, but you can also mend items like socks, knit scarves, and medium weight wovens (i.e. cotton flannel, wool flannel, linen, gauzy fabrics).
